Suddenly, this intense, hairy, teary summer, which began - quite literally - with the birth of my sixth child - has come to an end:
I hope it's a good year for all of them - particularly Keane, who started at the next school up and whose starting time is an hour earlier - which puts a sad and abrupt end to all the late night partying here.
What with all the peace - just three little girls underfoot! - I even snuck in some of this - a Nordstrom beauty gift with purchase:
I could wax on about how time flies, yadda yadda, but remembering this summer's long hairy afternoons with pent-up boys sumo wrestling, X Boxing, and begging for Sponge Bob, I don't even want to go there.
Time moves on, kids grow up, life ripens - all good stuff.
Although I guess that's easier to say if you still have an infant to cradle.
