"Is she off the bottle?" asks the doctor at Colette's checkup.
"Of course!" I respond.
"You know it's bad for her teeth."
"Oh yes."
"She really doesn't need it anymore."
"Of course!" I respond.

"Yes, I know."
I am pretty sure the doctor knew I was lying through my teeth. But if you have any advice on weaning a redhead from her beloved Juice Ba Ba, please let me know. Because my experience thus far that is that it's like denying breast implants to Heidi Montag.
Or forbidding a hormonal prepubescent admittance to the next Twilight spectacle.
In other words, a task fraught with Herculean difficulties that only the very courageous - or very ignorant - can undertake. At least not without some heavy doses of Pinot Noir.
